Great points/ advice from my Graduate Student friend/ mentor/ all around genius colleague and co-business owner Ms. (soon to be one day Dr.) Gina Caison. We talk a lot of stuff as we sit around planning and making the projects happen that we have planned in our heads. And of course, as the great Professor/ Teacher that she is she is straight forward and making a great point. So I pass along this advice to you all. (All three or four readers of my bloggy blog...)
And then I say - the learned must be the first to demonstrate. So I decided to look through my emails of the day to see how I'm doing... of course I will try to recreate what I was talking about without reading the actual email... to see if I can. Business Wise: RE: Talk it out with me/ do some research. In which I ask a friend of mine to talk some stuff out with me and do research. I think that gets to the heart of the matter quite well. RE: We are ready to go live with your web page. In which I tell an artist that I am ready to go live with his web page. See. I'm doing pretty good. RE: Bio Questions In which I ask an artist to answer some questions about himself, some "Bio questions." I am a subject line writer genius. RE: Information about Arts & Crafts Fairs In which I email some organizations about arts & crafts fairs asking for information. YAY me! (Of course they haven't emailed me back so maybe the subject should have been "I need information FROM YOU about Arts & Crafts Fairs" as they could be confused thinking I have information from them, when in reality my information for them is "gimme some information!") RE: Misc. Pics I guess I had some misc pics I sent to someone about something somewhere... Personal: RE: Necklaces And I'm not doing so good on the personal side. Cause yeah. I think this about some necklaces (ya think?) RE: Hats And some hats. RE: Hats And some more hats. Maybe different hats. Maybe the same hats. Maybe the same email sent twice with the same subject about the same hats? RE: Hats 2 HATS! RE: Let me know... I don't know if this person ever let me know what I wanted to know. I should email her and ask her. The subject will be "You should let me know what I asked you to let me know in the previous email I sent asking you to let me know..." Go forth scholars. Email...
