It's the community that happens when you're all sitting together in a two hour long session listening to each other. And I... like many others was just glad that when I was finished presenting nobody threw their hands up in the air and went "what kind of messed up poo are you talking about here lady? You don't even belong in this field and everything you just said is the worst scholarship I have ever heard. I literally have lost 20 minutes of my life, which on my death bed, I will cry out to the heavens that I deserve at least 20 more minutes of time with my loved ones because of the time I wasted here... tonight." It's the nagging feeling in the back of your head right? You could see the relief on everyone's faces once they were done and we all went "wow, that was really good."
